Press Release Body = At the new Delphi Academy of Los Angeles campus, the Delphi Jr. Student Government will host the 2006 Haunted House on Sunday, October 29, and Monday, October 30. All are welcome to attend the Freaky Haunted Funhouse at Delphi Academy. Admission is $6/person; all profits go towards the new Delphi Academy gymnasium/theater complex.
If you have ever attended the annual Delphi Haunted Houses when they were held at Delphi's old campus in La Canada, you know that they are a fun and spooky event not to be missed. Delphi's first haunted house to be held at the new campus in Lake View Terrace promises to be more exciting than ever!
The theme this year? Freaky Haunted Funhouse! Follow a tour guide down a pitch-black hallway, and figure out for yourself if your tour guide is there, not there, or maybe somewhere in-between. The only light you'll see will be the black lights making everything glow. Besides that, have fun trying to see what's coming your way around that corner! Seeing is deceiving, especially when there are tons of optical illusions and surprises! It's not all freaky; there are some things there to keep the "fun" in "funhouse," and for the parents in the crowd, we'll even tone down the scary for the younger children. If you love to have Halloween fun, come on down!
All of this Haunted House mania will be on Sunday, October 29th from 4:30-9:30p.m. and Monday, October 30th from 5:00-9:00, at the Delphi Academy campus, 11341 Brainard Ave., Lake View Terrace, CA 91342. Tickets will be $6/person.
The Delphi Academy students involved in creating the haunted house this year include Holly Shaw, Jake Willner, Brittany Redmond, Cyrus Yalda, Chris Kiros and Elizabeth Malm of Glendale, Krista Baysdorfer and Denis Bronkar of Burbank, Tia and Brie Maraslian and JJ Ferman of Lake View Terrace, Dylan Griffin and Patrick Ho of Pasadena, Diana Mantis and Allison Wilson of Shadow Hills, Stefanie Ditko and Danielle Fisher-Shin of Sylmar, Miranda Baaska and Melissa Bell of Tujunga, Kelsea Sakamoto of Sunland, Rebecca Benest of Montrose and Jules Baybak from La Canada. The Jr. Student Government member running the event is Emily Carraher of Sunland, with help from her father, Burten Carraher. Also involved are several Delphi alumni, including Haliey Foster (Class of 2002) of Lake View Terrace and Kellyn Fahey (Class of 2004) of Montrose.
